As part of the Barnstaple Alliance PCN, the practice has a First Contact Physiotherapy Team who are able to deal with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, inject, prescribe and refer onwards for further investigations such as Radiology.  Ask at Reception for an appointment with this team instead of with a GP as they are very often more knowledgeable about your concern, or complete an E-consult.
